Deialog a chydweithrediad hir-dymor gydag artistiaid, mudiadau a chyhoeddiadau sy’n llywio fy ngwaith. Caiff ei arwain gan brosesau chwareus, ymchwiliol, amlieithog a rhyngddisgyblaethol, sy’n troi mewn i brosiectau curadurol, testunau beirniadol, ysgrifau, cyfieithiadau, ffuglenau a chynulliadau, sydd weithiau’n cael eu cyflwyno ar ffurfiau byw neu glyweledol. Mae wedi’i angori yn fy nghyd-destun daearyddol a ieithyddol, ac mae diddordebau mewn ymchwil gasglebol, ffurfiau dogfen, safle-benodolrwydd a hanesion o ddiwylliant weledol hoyw/cwiar yn ffigyru’n gryf.

Rhwng 2021-4, trefnais i Pegwn: rhaglen esblygol gyda Peak Cymru i gynhyrchu gofodau arbrofol i artistiaid ymgasglu o gwmpas cwestiynau ynghylch amlieithrwydd, cyfieithu a chreu geirfaoedd. Trwy 2025, dwi wedi bod yn adeiladu prosiect curadurol newydd, Testun testun, i arbrofi gyda mathau newydd o safleoedd ar gyfer sgwennu a disgwrs celf gyfoes yng Nghymru. Bydd ei ddwy raglen gyntaf yn dod allan yn yr hydref. Mae prosiectau curadurol eraill yn cynnwys y raglen ymchwil gasglebol TROI, TROSI, preswylfa gwreiddioli (gyda Theatr Cymru) a’r casgleb sgwennu/celf mwnwgl.

Dwi wedi bod yn Gymrawd Cymru’r Dyfodol, yn olygydd gyda Artes Mundi, yn gymrawd gyda Visual AIDS a’r Flaherty Seminar, ac wedi cyrraedd rhestr fer yr International Award for Art Criticism ddwywaith. Yn ddiweddar, cyflwynais waith newydd ar ffurf arddangosfa fideo yn Mostyn gyda Owain Train McGilvary, mewn perfformiad aml-gyfrwng yn Green Man gyda Angela Davies, mewn darlleniadau gyda Gwyl y Gelli a Creiriau, a darnau i e-flux, the Public Review, Frieze, Documentary, O’r Pedwar Gwynt ac Art Monthly.

My work is guided by long-term collaborations, and emerges from playful, translingual and interdisciplinary processes. It spans curatorial and publishing projects, art criticism, essays, translations and fictions, which occasionally take live, audiovisual or installational forms. Some interests which animate this work include collective research, site-responsiveness, experimental documentary media and visual cultures of gay/queer sociality.

Fel gwacter (2024), an experimental essay film I made with Owain Train McGilvary, was co-commissioned by LUX and presented as an exhibition at Mostyn, through which we also created the zine holescapes / twlldirweddau (2025). From 2021-4, I organised Pegwn, an iterative programme with Peak Cymru producing experimental spaces for artists to gather around questions of multilingualism, translation and language-making. Other curatorial projects include the collective research programme TROI, TROSI, the residency gwreiddioli (with Theatr Cymru), art/writing collective mwnwgl and the journal for Artes Mundi 10 (2023-4). I am a former Future Wales Fellow, Jerwood Writer in Residence, Visual AIDS Research Fellow and Flaherty Curatorial Fellow, and have an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths, University of London.

In 2024, I was a runner-up for the 10th International Award for Art Criticism (IAAC10), having been previously shortlisted in 2022. My critical writing has recently been published with e-flux, Frieze, Documentary, The Public Review, O’r Pedwar Gwynt, Burlington Contemporary and Art Monthly
Throughout 2025, I have been initiating a curatorial project testing new, artist-centred sites for art/writing and critical vocabulary-building in Wales, to be called Testun testun. Its two inaugural programmes will become public in the autumn.
